Protect Yourself 1, Inc. is founded on the challenging premise that public can be educated about HIV/AIDS. Statistics from The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) show that More than 40 million people have been infected with HIV World-Wide since the onset of the pandemic. Almost 22 million have already died of AIDS, and every day, 16,000 more become infected with HIV world-Wide. In the United States alone, approximately 1 million are living with the disease, but up to one-quarter of these people are unaware of their condition.  Because of a lack of information, communication, education, and prevention, AIDS has become a threat to the United States population and to the World. Protect Yourself 1, Inc. exists to combat this AIDS pandemic through education and activism. 

The PY1 mission is to increase awareness about the HIV/AIDS virus and foster a sense of individual responsibility regarding preventive practices through music, media, art, and non-profit educational events, programs and activities. Protect Yourself 1, Inc. will also provide multicultural youth development, behavioral change and entrepreneurial skills services connecting at-risk youth and horses.

Protect Yourself 1, Inc.'s overarching goals are to disseminate information about sexually-transmitted diseases (STDs) including HIV/AIDS to at-risk populations. To partner with organizations and individuals around the world to sponsor and develop multimedia, creative and performance arts presentations that promote awareness about AIDS, to propose solutions that reduce the negative impact of AIDS, and to change cultural attitudes in support of sexual behavior that decreases cases of AIDS, STDs, and unwanted Teen Pregnancies. PY1 will also provide equestrian-based development and education programs for at-risk populations.

In virtually every country or market throughout the world, existing Awareness, Prevention or Educational HIV/AIDS platforms do not adequately reach and serve the human race - especially those most at-risk populations. Protect Yourself 1, Inc. exists to close that health educational and information gap and to raise the level of HIV/AIDS Awareness to save lives and improve the quality of life for us all.
